In our database, a dataset has the following structure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-119-1024x485.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2944\" width=\"620\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-119-1024x485.png 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-119-300x142.png 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-119-768x363.png 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-119.png 1230w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Tabular data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The term \u201cTabular data\u201d is used for all datasets where there internal structure of the data is \u201cknown\u201d to the system. <br>For example, in a data table the header, which defines the columns (i.e. variables) is the structure of the data. <br>Before uploading\/importing data to the system the data structure needs to be created with the Data Structure Manager in the Data Planning module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system supports file formats of Microsoft Excel (<em>.xlsm) or ASCII (<\/em>.txt, *.csv).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>File data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All the datasets that don&#8217;t have the data structure in the system, thus data internal structure can&#8217;t be &#8220;known&#8221; to the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The database can support many file formats such as <em>.avi) (<\/em>.bmp) (<em>.csv) (<\/em>.dbf) (<em>.doc) (<\/em>.docx) (<em>.gif) (<\/em>.jpg) (<em>.jpeg) (<\/em>.mp3) (<em>.mp4) (<\/em>.pdf) (<em>.png) (<\/em>.shp) (<em>.shx) (<\/em>.tif) (<em>.txt) (<\/em>.xls) (<em>.xlsm) (<\/em>.xlsx) (<em>.xsd) (<\/em>.zip).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What does a Dataset mean?
